Nothing is more distressing than our own spiraling thoughts. We will continue to suffer if we allow ourselves to react to everything that is happening without giving ourselves the time to make sense of what's going on. It takes a lot of self-control to be able to observe everything with logic and compassion without taking things personally. It's easier said than done, right? If you allow words to control your emotions, that means you put others in a power position to manipulate you.
We hold onto pride and resentment as we grow older. With aging comes memorable gifts, including wisdom and knowledge, but we lose touch of the inner child within us. The unconditional, loving free spirit of children is our true nature. We forget all about that; hence we lose many relationships along the way, leaving us like a confused feather swayed by the wind.
"Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most love is lost" - Gibran Khalil Gibran.
Life seems to isolate us intermittently so we can find our soul's purpose. It may seem like we've lost friendships and relationships that meant the world to us. However, it's at the expense of finding your path, passion, and purpose in life, which is worth much more! For where your soul is, there you will find your treasure, and all the relationships you need will be naturally drawn to you. We have to be forgiving and patient of those who are lost on our path: ignorance, narcissism, anger, jealousy, and greed stem from a lost soul. We must unlearn what we have learned because a conditioned mind can not comprehend the infinite. It'll always be confined.
Everyone wants change, but who wants to truly change? We forgot that we all live together on this planet, we became delusional by creating imaginary borders, diverse beliefs, and social structures dividing ourselves into factions that represent color, race, religion, and culture, to claim superiority over resources. We didn't just stop there; we then started destroying each other and the earth we live on... instead of just co-existing, creating, sharing, and evolving as one species. We don't need to compete for resources; the planet is abundant. We must understand that abundance is a state of mind-forged by our energetic field and not by holding onto anyone or anything because that is when it becomes limited! We are an expression of the imponderable cosmos, so reducing our worth to material resources is not just demeaning but will never satisfy our lust for life. Contentment is the realization that no matter how much we get, it'll always be enough because, at any stage in time, there's still an inner demon deep inside screaming that what you possess is not enough! Therefore, it'll disguise you with an 'ambition' cloak to justify your greed.
There is no darkness as dense or hostile as our understanding of a black hole. Still, even at the dip of a black hole, it's speculated to lead to a different dimension, new beginnings: a wormhole with an infinite gravitational power that rips and tears the fabric of space at the point of singularity onto a new dreamy reality. Even in the darkest corners of the universe, we come up with theories that offer us new beginnings. We must go through a chaotic whirl of stardust and belts of asteroids to give birth to a sparkling star. That's when your purpose subtly occurs to you the same way the sun's rays reach our planet in the form of steady flickering northern lights.
Once you have identified your life purpose, your fire, you will understand that monetary wealth is not the reason to live. You'll realize it is necessary, yes, but only as a means to survive the broken societal structures, to sustain yourself, and be part of a bigger and vicious ecosystem. How do you think people were during the barter system? Or even before that, what was the primary source of happiness before trade and currency came into this world?
Let's consider the value of human connection for a moment, how negligent and distracted are we now because of life's hustle and bustle? We don't even remember the true nature of relationships; the bond seems like that of a distant star. Yet, humans thrive on discoveries such as inventing the telescope... bringing us closer to embrace the sky. Our consciousness suffers from amnesia, yet the quantum activity in our particles continually reminds us of what binds us to the vastness of the galaxies. We regularly reflect on the matters that we once believed we understood, only to see deeper and deeper truths, truths that connect human beings on a sub-atomic level, this doesn't require a high level of cognizance. Such realization requires a single glance into someone's eyes that comes along someday to show you the life of an entire galaxy in a hazel flame nebula when you lived to believe that intelligent life only persists on a single planet.
The space between you becomes transparent and translucent. Time dilates and slows down. You crave to dive in and touch the eternal being that they are. It's too good to be true, but nothing is accidental; the universe is too intelligent for that kind of encounter to be a coincidence. It's the source light shining inwards and outwards. That's when you know you're in for a rollercoaster ride! We cannot force someone to listen to a message they are not ready for. But we must never underestimate the power of planting a seed.
The seed of love grows at an unprecedented pace. Care, compassion, and kindness run its natural course: sun and water to capture the love that blooms into an eternal blue rose; and when it's confined or suppressed, it digs deeper its roots in search of more nutrients. Love comes naturally; however, how we deal with its suppression is where our compass fails. This leap is just as scary as jumping off a plane with no parachute, or a little bird that doesn't know what awaits it beyond the cage. In a world where most people are not driven by their hearts, it's a rare occurrence to cross paths with a daring soul. And guess what, the cost of not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had. And that's a heavy burden on the heart. It leaves many lifeless and accepting of how they're not supposed to live their lives. Nothing will haunt you like the things you never said to the people you were supposed to.
Think about what really scares you for a minute? Losing control? Being vulnerable? To be vulnerable is braver than any act of silence or concealment. When you silence your heart, you're repressing pain that manipulates your understanding of courage. Don't let your inner demons use fear of abandonment, or rejection, against you—own these shadows. Don't be afraid of what may happen and let it take away from the present or the possibility of how beautiful things can be. It's a state of mind that only you can put yourself in. You'll find yourself turn into a light radiating Protostar that is formed when the core of a dying star in a supernova collapses.
"The first half of life is devoted to forming a healthy ego; the second half is going inward and letting go of it. Wholeness for humans depends on the ability to own their own shadow." - Carl Jung.
Don't expect those around you to be in a similar state of mind either! It's only natural for fear to take over the steering wheel. And sometimes that's ok. We don't really know a person until we've learned about their darkness, and until we embrace their darkness, we can't fully love them. It is better to become their light than finding it elsewhere. When you love someone unconditionally, you desire to make their dreams and passions come true. But never lose sight of your own. It takes two to share dreams and revive hope, or else it will fade.
At difficult times in our lives where decisions are beyond our control - sometimes living apart, is a gift to each other, but that doesn't mean my mind is not full of our moment-loaded stares. The thought of you rolls down my spine like a mega-charged electric current. I feel you in my breath with every single inhalation as I try to contain your storm, and with every exhalation of relief, I wish you're at ease, and peace of mind. Here we are, survivors at living. My heart opens up and soars to you in firm salute, paying respect to a soul that's enduring the prospect of an inescapable loss, and the trials that each one of us will inevitably face.
